The Rook reverts back to more serious fare present in my earlier work, The Velvet King. In addition to developing an interesting story, I aimed to maintain lighting continuity from frame to frame. I also wanted the sound design and dynamic camera angles to support the dark mood.

This will be the first part in a series of three movies that I hope to continue as time permits.
